Emily is President of Douglas M. Farr & Co., Inc. She graduated in 2007 from Pacific Lutheran University with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree. She has earned the Qualified 401(k) Consultant (QKC) and Qualified 401(k) Administrator (QKA) designation from the American Society of Pension Professionals and Actuaries (ASPPA) and actively follows the progress of Congressional deliberations pertaining to potential changes to federal pension laws. Her primary duties at Douglas M. Farr & Company, Inc. include new plan design, plan takeovers, document preparation, and plan administration. Emily enjoys meeting new clients and educating them on retirement plans so that they may achieve their retirement objectives. She looks forward to growing the family business for many years to come.
Throughout her high school and college days, Emily was active in athletics, earning numerous awards in cross-country, soccer, and track & field. After graduating from college, Emily was determined to compete in a marathon, and, on March 21, 2010 she completed the Los Angeles Marathon in a time of 3:38:40, which qualified her to compete in the elite Boston Marathon. Emily also ran the original marathon in Athens, Greece in November 2017 in a time of 3:37:22. When she is not running or doing CrossFit at 5am, she enjoys spending time in her hometown of the Crescenta Valley with her husband, Matt, and daughters, Ellie and Miley.
